I can remember that Apple offered a 10% discount of all (most) things from the Apple store on a single day. I cannot exactly remember what this day was. May be I am hallucinating now! If I am not does anyone remember what day that was and if so what is the likelyhood of them doing the same this year?
I want to buy a CTO Macbook Air and none of the retailers who offer 10% off from time to time carry the config I want (i7 processor and 8GB RAM with 256GB SSD).
10% discount from Apple (Apple Online Store)... If / When??

Exactly! I'm sorry if I confused you guys. I meant Apple ONLINE store.
Sales for Apple products on their online store occur once annually, called the Black Friday Sale which happens mid-late November. This includes high-end accessories.
Last year's Black Friday event:

Not too impressed, consider DickSmith / JB Hi-Fi have been doing regular 10% off Mac
Apple only price match now so they dont complete with suppliers
JB/DS offer 10% off days or weekends but you cant do custom systems, apple wont pricematch custom units usally
Only the AIRs have been upgraded to the latest Intel CPU, so patience of your waiting on current tech as the old ones are being changed soon.
Lastly, checkout the apple/store/refurbished for deals
Thanks for the replies! So I think I will wait for the Black Friday sale and hope Apple does the 10% discount this year as well. I don't need a new laptop yet anyway. In the meantime Apple might bring out the new Macbook Pro as well.
8GB RAM? I think you can only buy that online…
