    I gave this about 6 months ago (not through Steam) and it has some very cool ideas - but it was insanely buggy. I could barely get it to run, and when I did, it would crash if I looked at the sky.

      That is to be expected from an early alpha. I downloaded the 0.1 version over a year ago, and while there wasn't a heap to do in it, it was quite stable on my PC. Though of course YMMV.
