  This thing is seriously small, I highly doubt you could catch anything with this. Better off getting a kids rod down at kmart or big w for ~$12.

    Yes, it is very small. It's intended use is to catch small fish or crustaceans - we don' expect you to use it for big game fishing :)

  All jokes aside now, this looks perfect as an "antenna launcher" for ham radio type folks for casting a sinker high up into tree and then using the fishing line to pull the antenna wire up.

  Thank you guys for your comments, which help me visualize that this item is indeed small, as it is suggested in the product description (pocket size). Now that with my expectation set correctly, I realize that I'm not getting this for any serious fishing. But I think I'll get this as a novelty item because it is "cute". I'll get one for my wall decoration, and I'll even throw one in the conference room to be used a pointer. Oh, the guys at work is gonna get a kick out of it. Thanks, Banggood. LOL.
