The North Face - Horizon Falls Mens Pants $59.95 + $5.95 Delivery

40

Great pair of outdoor trousers… next best price I can find for a pair in stock is $92 + $6.95 shipping from gearguys.

Having gone through a few of these over the years, they are very comfy and lightweight, great for hiking/climbing/sitting… repel water like a couple of ducks strapped to your legs but without the mess.

Got a pair for $25 a few months ago on clearance at Anaconda

  • how do they go for sizing? some outdoor stuff tends to be huge

pretty huge and they have an elastic waist. definately not fashionable pants, but very comfortable for the trails and being able to zip down to shorts is a +

A bit oversized, I'm 6" with 32inch waist and find a small fits well

    Here's a pretty accurate size guide…

Is this the internet equivalent of going into another shop to try them on?

These pants are awesome - I have the beige colour and a darker grey version. Bought some in the US when I was there a while ago (the version where they have the colour coding on the zip off section for strugglers like me who can't put them back on). Wouldn't touch north face at normal aussie prices. they run true to size for me - 5"11 and a 32" waist - Medium is perfect for me.
(surprised to see North Face on COTD. I thought they were more upmarket? Must be desperate..)

I used to have pants that became shorts when I was 14. They were awesome. They were cool then too.

  • I'm not knocking North Face gear as I personally love it - just be aware that the fabric these pants are made of varies from batch to batch, I have about 4 pairs of these exact pants which I have bought in different countries while travelling at different times and the fabric ranges from "soft" to "will rub the skin off your knees", I am guessing the really harsh material versions sell less retail and find their way onto deal sites - I could be wrong.
