  When I ask that q on the local Tripadvisor, say someone else who just booked it themselves, or a local, they usually know.

  You could try this site http://www.tripraider.com/. It supposedly tells you what the secret hotels are. Would be worth double checking though using some of the terms common to the Secret hotel and their regular entry on Last minute or Wotif website.

  Going to be in Sydney for 1 night, was planning on getting something nice. Would it be worth my while to do a secret hotel if I not overly fussed.
  Just want to make sure I get what I pay for.

  There was something on Australian Business Traveller's site about mystery hotels.
  Go to there site and search Mystery hotel or something similar

  I guessed mine in Brisbane recently because it had a day spa. But I don't think you can ever be "sure" until after you book it.

  Can someone explain to me the logic behind having the hotel name a secret please? The way that I see it, if it is a really good hotel, then why not name it!
