I'm looking to buy a good quality waffle maker. I've never had one before and in fact never made any waffles in my life, but I think it'll go well for breakfast. So, any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think you need to decide whether you want thick or thin waffles.
You can find thin heart shaped waffle makers everywhere.
I chose square thicker ones when I bought a waffle maker. You can reheat them in a toaster as they are bread sized.
Just depends what you want. I'm always tempted by the thinner ones, but don't want another small appliance taking up room.
My mum has a Breville one (that we won about 18 years ago) that's been excellent. We loved the recipe that came with it too - there are a few in the instruction manual. Been thinking of buying myself one recently too, freshly made waffles are awesome.
