Some huge do not knock posters for the fence

  • the site is so slowww

      "

  • What a bummer that A3 with 28x43 cm is hardly what i'd call a "poster"

    Some nice designs here

    http://www.deviantart.com/

  • normal price on their website is $49.75!

  • WEbsite not working for me. Can't drag any images

  • Wow that took forever! It took about 4 times to complete project as the images were showing as "X/Crosses"

    Thanks OP :)

  • Worked OK for me. I used the 2nd uploader.

  • Damn it, can't use my iPad :-P deal will probably be expired by the time I get access to a computer though. Looks like a great deal!

  • +9

Might be worth liking their FB page, since they're most likely making a loss on this deal :)

The website kept giving me trouble. I gave up after a few tries.

    • yes very frustrating to use and can only upload JPEG

    • Nightmare of a site to use..

5 posters! Racking my brain… What do I want on them???

  • Thanks OP - Made my order.

  • Awesome deal. Thanks OP!!

  • Hmmm will not upload my order when checking out

  • Ordered. No problems. Thanks. Great Deal!

  • thanks for the heads up. I always appreciate cheap prints. Even more for free prints!

I had some issues after playing around with the site in Chrome (adding/removing/rotating/resizing the images), and the images eventually stopped appearing on the canvas. I ended up switching to Firefox with my final images and everything worked fine.

I used a bunch of wallpapers from albums I found on imgur: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the top of /r/wallpapers. Hopefully they're high enough quality.

    • Thanks for the Firefox tip, it failed so many times on Chrome.

Also, nice wallpapers you linked as well.

  • +1

Awful interface and terrible FB page. example "Online Photo Books and Photo Gifts have never been easy!" And only accepting JPG is very fail in itself for a whole host of reasons.

But I finally submitted my order after 3-4 attempts.

  • Kept getting stuck on the payment confirmation page. Had to refresh it like 6 times despite the page saying that you shouldn't. Eventually worked out with no errors. Cheers OP.

    • So has anyone received theirs yet? Comments?

  • i put in a couple of orders xD

  • nvm

  • Haru, what resolution did you download the pics you used in?

    • Some scaling down/cropping will have to occur to achieve A3 size since most images will be 1920x1080. 1527 x 1080 fits the A3 size but the sides will obviously have to be cropped or you could add more to the top and bottom if its a one colour image.

  • Thank You. I cant find any info as to how long it takes before I can collect my order from their shop.Does anyone know? Thank you :)

    • I can't find any info on the site, but I'm hoping that they'll send an email when it's ready.
Otherwise you could call them with your order number from the order confirmation email and see what they say.

  • Thank You, done and dusted, smooth process, now awaiting the order.

  • It uploads and then goes back to billing/shipping page. is anyone else facing the same problem ?

    • it happened to me, i restarted the browser and it fixed it

  • This is an absolute nightmare to use. Extremely slow and SO buggy. Keeps resetting itself.

    • But that's the norm with any site that gets OzB'd!!! ;)

  • It was slow last night.
    Seems ok now

  • Help pls… Been trying to add the product to cart but nothing there.. anyone has same problem??

  • Just ordered a set; the process has been smooth for me, except the online photo editing system is a bit too preliminary - I couldn't even set the poster as portrait or landscape orientation so I need to rotate all elements in my poster - hope that won't compromise the print quality…

I guess they want to give their system a "stress test" by giving away some freebies.

    • I had the same issue. But as it doesn't exactly snap to a 90º rotation, I just opened and rotated my pic in MS Pic Manager, saved it, then uploaded it again turned to suit!!!

  • +1

    That's great. Thank you.

BTW if you are having problems importing images and finding them being shown on an angle, setting them as background will straighten them up and, if your dimensions are A3, fill the frame.

  • Shopping cart shows up as empty when adding to cart after step 3. Not working for me.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered mine last night. Does anyone know how long will it take for shipping?

  • I'm unable to put in the promo code.. type it in and click enter/click the button nothing happens..
refreshed pages multiple times.. used chrome/firefox/safari

    poo :(

    • Got the same. Looks like party's over.

  • The promo code works fine for me just few minutes ago! But I just laod iup ONE photo, putttin in a note to say a set of 5,, aiming to get them print the SAME photo 5 times A3 size.

Has anyone got a confirmation of pictures shipped yet? I ordered july 2nd and got a payment confirmation, but nothing after that…

    • Same here. Haven't received anything yet.

    • same

    • Same boat. I've tried contacting them twice, but they don't seem to answer. The link is here if you wanna try your luck: http://xtreemtc.com.au/photolab/support.html

      • I rang them a few times today but no answer. Has somebody used them before?

  • I have not received the delivery. ordered on 2/7/13

  • Paid the $1 postage, but just received email saying my order is ready for pick-up?! What the….?

    • Did you ring them? Any updates?

      • +2

        Arrived today.
Love how they've turned out. Too bad they folded it in half when posting. :(

        • Folded in half really?

        • +1

          Yeah, unfortunately.
Was posted in a large envelope.
For $1 I guess it was too much to expect it to be posted in a tube.

        • Yeh I was wondering if it was too much to expect it to be mailed in a tube.

  • +1

Ok did a bit of research and found out they have pretty bad reviews online. Not sure if I am allowed to put a link to another website.

    • I googled Xtreemtc … it didn't fill me with confidence.

  • Where to bloody contact these rats!?

I'm waiting on my order from a while back! Not a very clear web layout for contacting other than that stupid online chat that no one answers…

  • still waiting on my order :(

  • +1

They replied to my email and confirmed on facebook that they will send them next week.

  • Mine have not arrived either, hope next week?

  • +2

The sales rep said he got over 2000 orders..

    • But only 78 likes (how many was before the comp as well). There's 4000 clicks above so that seems legitimate.

  • +1

    my order hasnt arrived yet,
    but i felt bad

So i just gave them a like on their facebook
    https://www.facebook.com/XtreemPhotoLab

they only had 80 likes for 2000 orders >.<

    HOPELESS!

I received my prints FOLDED IN HALF shoved in a paper envelope.
Regardless of the fact that this was a free deal and i paid $1 for postage, i imagine the whole idea of the deal is to get Xtreme Photo Labs name out there and drum up some business.

There's no way that im going to use their services again after receiving completely ruined prints. The laser copier they use is obviously of poor quality as well, as all along the creases the ink has flaked off.

I've now got 5 useless prints that even if i ironed the creases out there's nothing i can do with all the flakes and scratches. Haven't these people heard of using a postage tube or even just sticking the prints flat between 2 pieces of cardboard.

I'm certainly never using their over priced service again. $49 for x5 A3 laser copier prints! HA!

Two of us from work also ordered the prints and they both came in an A4 envelope folded in half. The funny thing is the envelop has a sticker saying "PHOTOS, DO NOT BEND" and they were the ones who bent the photos…

      The prints are unusable.

    • Yeah, its disappointing that they folded it making the ink flake off along the crease.

    • Yeah they definitely could of gone the extra inch and delivered them properly (ie usuable). Why bother giving so many away for FREE if you're still going to get bad reviews

FYI I haven't got mine yet in ADL. if they arrive in better condition than above i'll update.

    • Well, I knew from the start that they weren't gonna use tubes, as that would make too much of a loss. So receiving them folded was not such a surprise.

I just hope that they don't post like this for people that would actually purchase full priced stuff from them, that's all i'm worried about =/

Note : $49 is a pretty steep price. I print A3 posters all the time for uni.

Received mine yesterday. Shame they were folded in half in a paper envelope.

  • Still waiting on mine. I ordered them on the 8th. Funnily enough I also ordered an Arcade stick from America on the 7th and that arrived 4 days ago. Truly appalling delivery.

  • Mine folded in half too. Idiots!
I would have picked up if they had said something.
Waste of my time and their money. What was the point of it all??

  • Next time I will put "Please do not fold" in the extra handling instructions in the check out.

God Im so pissed right now.

On Their Facebook: Xtreem Photo Lab Hi Guys, we thought we like to respond to the prints been folded in half. These are promotional items which the most cheapest way to send this is via a B4 Envelope with the sign DO NOT FOLD. (This was recommended by Austpost themselves) If we sent this item via a tube or with an A3 size envelope, this item will not be a promotional item any more. It will cost about $15 in freight & Packaging. So a certain percentage of prints will be ignored by Mr Postman and have been folded so we will offer those customer with these issues with a full refund or to collect it free again at the store (Melbourne only) Please PM us privately with a picture of the damaged prints and we will organise a refund or a free store pick up collection. Very sorry for the inconvenience.

TLDR: You can send them a PM if your prints are damaged and they will offer a refund or Pick of new a new set.

I haven't gotten mine yet , but will most likely be picking them up.

    • I just threw mine out after I got them. Waste of time.

  • +2

Mine arrived today in a soft A4 envelope with the same folded/flaking problem.

If it was too expensive to ship an A3 envelope they should rather have made the promotion for A4-size prints posted in a stiff envelope. Destroying the prints by folding them just makes the company look incompetent.

  • I honestly didn't expect much for free but when the prints came folded I was soo disappointed.

They turned out great for their intended purpose, but cant be used now due to the creasing and flaky ink.

One has to question how they thought this promotion was going to help the business given the lack of care they took with these prints.

  • One more person who received folded, flaked prints. I have contacted them, asking that my prints be re-sent in a tube. We'll see.

  • Just received mine - badly packed and VERY badly folded! At the very least they could have folded them in half and protected them with card. Not quite sure what this promotion was aiming to achieve!

  • Same story here. All my objects were focused center. Guess what? That is where they have folded it! Seriously what is the point? They could have simply send a A4 print instead.

  • Xtreem Photo Print Solutions, please listen…

If you're going to give free prints to people, as a marketing tool, then at least make them usable. Yes, there is the "They're free, Who's going to complain?" reasoning, but not on a site like OzB (or god forbid a potential commercial customer tried this out…)

Why give out free prints, if you're still going to get bad reviews?

It would have been much better to limit the freebies to a certain amount of users, than to ship the crappy, unusable promo prints you sent.

TBH, I liked the quality of the prints I got, but had to throw them away because of the condition they arrived in…

Better luck next time i guess.

  • ..and one more.. 5 prints, folded in half.,.. in an envelope that said DO NOT BEND

    Useless:(

  • mine arrived after 3 weeks, bent. Mod: Foul Language

  • I am yet to receive these!
And I live in Metro Sydney!!!

  • Has anyone managed to go pick up their prints yet?

    • Nope. I called them, and they said to wait a bit more.

  • I got mine a couple of weeks back and thought the print quality was excellent. Yes, it was folded in half in a B4 envelope - but for what I wanted that was fine, it's pretty much like what you'd get in the middle of a magazine which is what most of the photos I got were - Taylor Swift singing [FOR MY DAUGHTER].
There was, however, one photo of our family that came out half gray, I called them and they promised to reprint it. Haven't heard a word from them since, and just tried to ring but got their answering machine (I also got their machine a few times when I first rang to complain about the half grey photo). Poor show.

  • I got my prints twice for some reason, both times sent in envelopes folded. Like others I liked the quality of the print. I was considering ordering with some better pictures but fear it would be a waste of money if they were going to be sent folded.

  • still yet to get mine - sounds like I should not bother chasing it up by the sounds of what people received :(
