Steam Wallet Gift Cards available in EB Games

I think this has been the case for awhile now, people on other forums such as Whirlpool say so anyway.

A few things of note:

  • You can buy the cards in $20 USD or $50 USD varieties. They cost $20 AUD and $50 AUD respectively. Given the exchange rate now, this is great! Not to mention you don't need to pay currency conversion fees.
  • The Steam Wallet code is printed on the receipt when you pay (not confirmed yet, if someone buys one, please tell us), you don't get the code on a gift card like with iTunes or other gift cards.

Anyone bought some/planning on buying some?

…of course, if you're really cheap, you could try earn money through the buying/selling on the Steam Market (but you need to have made a Steam purchase prior).

    Yeah, I read this off wp a few days ago.

    Not a bad idea to stock up for the steam sale coming up.

    I picked one up at EB Games in Westfield, Airport West in Melbourne. They have them in DVD boxes on the shelves and when you hand it to the cashier you will receive a card (kinda like a birthday card) containing your receipt with the redeem code on it. My dreams have come true. If anyone can verify their presence in other stores (such as EB Games in Watergardens), please tell us.

      They are in loads of regional stores.
