I have recently bought DIR-865L Wireless AC1750 router from Dick Smith for $21 despite missing out on the $100 cashback. However when I was trying to set it up, it won't connect to the internet and I can't pass the WAN checking step. Is anyone else having the same issue? I can't seem to find a solution on the web.
I am using a Netcomm modem, any advices will be greatly appreciated.
I actually already have 2 wireless routers connected to the model. Was going to replace one with Dlink. I just went through the automatic setup when I connecter the router to the computer. Do I need to put the modem into bridge mode? As I've had a DIR-825 set up the same way without a problem.

Ah in that case you are doing double NAT. Then you have to instruct the DIR-865L to get a WAN address by DHCP. Auto setup usually works but who knows…

I just used the automatic setup when the router is connected to the computer. Got it in Mittagong NSW and I think there was one left. This was a week ago though.
If you have the WAN port connected to the Netcomm then check the Netcomm to see if it has allocated an address to the router. Have you read any of the manuals?
You've got the WAN port connected to the modem right? You should put the modem into bridge mode and set up PPP on the router.
