I'm sick of "PU leather."
For those that want to have real animals' skin PU leather is deceptive.
For those like me who prefer not to have a dead animal's skin on my products PU leather is a PITA that makes searching for products without leather difficult.
Why can't they all just call it "pleather" like some do?
Try searching like this:
phone case leather -"pu leather"
It should show leather phone cases, and remove the results that say "pu leather"
That's the problem. I want PU. I don't want leather. So many products advertise as leather when they are actually not - they are PU. That restricts my search even though there is a high chance the leather product is not actually leather.
Now I'm confused. That's my point.
You realise PU leather also contains leather, though covered in PU? So if you were feeling sorry for cows, don't buy either.
I didn't know that. Thought pu leather was polyurethane made to look like leather, no dead animal at all.
Look up bicast leather on Wikipedia.
Leather = PETA
PU Leather = PITA
Or just call it polyurethane…ha ha…love your soapbox moment btw :)
