Everytime i receive the newsletter, the deals on it seem to have been posted a day ago…many of which are no longer available by the time i receive the newsletter. Whats with that?

Just FYI, the newsletter settings were moved to
My Account - Subscriptions - Newsletter
yesterday.
The email contains the most voted deals from the past 24 hours whether they are expired or not. It's generated shortly before the newsletter is sent (morning, afternoon, or night depending on your preference).
If you go to My Account - Settings - Edit - Newsletter.
You can exclude showing expired deals:
Additionally, you can only show deals with a minimum threshold or filter by categories.
