Agree, I've read some where that In NSW by law licenced restaurants, clubs and pubs must serve free tap water right?

I was recently at Hungry Jacks at Gold Coast Airport and I was buying just a couple of burgers for a quick feed before boarding a plane.. I asked them if they have tap water, they said 'we can give you a cup' …. Society has gone downhill since I worked at maccas. We used to give water with ice for free… because.. yep, the water is the free part. The cup is the bit that actually costs them! Messed up society.

Theres no water at the front. We used to fill a cup with ice, and then pour in hot water (from the coffee machine). Very inefficient way of doing it, but faster than walking out back to the kitchen.

I need to pay water bill….and why the hell I need to give water free to people….unless I do not need to pay for water, the bill i receive every 6 months, then I will give you free water. Water rate is more expensive in the shop(commercial) then residential.
If the government don't provide free water why I need to provide people with water, I have restaurant people ask for tap water, I said I have bottle water, and is $6 for 1.5 litre. Or you can have beer $8.5 for 375ml.
Sure it cost money, but not much at all. If you can't stomach the cost of giving a paying customer water then there is a problem with your bottom line.
If I got that kind of service then I think that'd be the last time I ate at that location.
