  • So I've read a few of the reviews, seems like a great deal for a pretty close to top of the line GPS? The last GPS I used was a TomTom from years ago, with a dreadful, dreadful small resistive touch screen. Ugh, just thinking about using it makes me gnash teeth. I'm mighty tempted, though the DSE stock finder isn't showing my local store up today for some reason :/

    Thanks for posting.

    • I've owned GPSs from Navman, TomTom and Garmin. I would say Garmin is by far the best. I have the 5 inch version of this one. Totally worth it.

  • Very tempting. How do standalones compare to using a smartphone? I currently have a Lumia 920 so have Here Drive + (abeit beta with no traffic currently…)

these GPS's seem very exe compared to a cheap android phone. I'm not sure how they justify the price.

It's a smaller (3.5" vs 4.23 screen) phone but the $39 deal with a maps app added on is significantly cheaper. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/107978

  • 3590 5 inch model also available for thirty dollars more if you can find stock

  • Shows stock in my area but nothing in Marion

  • why is this a Bargain?

Tempting, but I'm waiting for them to bring out a GPS with a built in drive cam as well. Surely can't be too far away.

    • so like a android phone has already!

      • Phones work OK as GPS where you have network coverage, not so good where you don't.

  • very lucky… went to dicksmith at Hornsby. Was just want to look the new high end of Garmin. They dont have on display, so the sales man open the cabinet below to look for it. Found out they still have 2 stock for Nuvi 3590 sealed in BOX. They seem selling for $179
One left guys good luck …. considering this was out for $449 last year, I think this is the best bargain

  • Just picked up a Nuvi 3490 for $129 from Dicksmith at Northlakes. It was the display one but i'm not complaining for that price..
