Where to find cheap (like the recent ALDI sale) snow gear in Melbourne?

Planning on going for a day trip to the snow so that the little one (2 years old) can get her first feeling of snow but missed out on the ALDI sale.

Is it possible to find similar priced clothes now? Anywhere in Melbourne? DFOs? Anywhere else? Please let me know. Going in 2 weeks so may be online sites that do fast shipping.

Thanks.

PS: I am sure this would have been discussed earlier so if you can't be bothered replying, please ignore my post.

is on Chapel St in South Yarra.

No idea of prices or brands sorry!

  • Just seen ski gloves in Sams Warehouse (QLD) Dont know if you have one Melb.
    Also check online (www.lassoocom.au)

  • Snow Monkey
    464 Smith St.

They usually have good gear =) I've bought an european snow jacket less $100 last year. =)

  • There was this sale at big w but the comments suggest that the quality was not crash hot.

I was at a big w yesterday and there was still this stock around and they were trying to clear it out, so your local store might have some too.

But if you're only going for a day, you're better off renting gear and just buying gloves and beanies, $$$ wise anyway.

  • Smith st in collingwood, all clearance stores there is about 10 of them.

  • eBay, loads of kids snow clothes. I keep meaning to put all of the stuff our kids have grown out of on there!

  • Thanks everyone for the help. I'll keep monitoring Lassoo, but i don't think i'll buy the ones from Big W from reading the feedbacks. Also i won't be purchasing the snowboard (it will be my first time so i may just rent out first).

I think i'm going to give Smith street a shot, everybody has been mentioning that place a lot. As for ebay, they have cheap and great looking snow jackets, but i don't want to risk paying something so expensive from the internet without trying it first (Although with kids clothing i do understand they're less fussy).

Thanks everyone for the help :)

  • Not sure about the kids, but for adults I think the best is online. Go to few shops and try on the stuff you want and then look for them online. Just as a courtesy to the shop make sure to buy something small from them as well. lol
like check this skis below, for one third of the real price:
