Thinking to sell my car.
As a first time seller, carsales.com.au is the only place I know to research price and to list the car, is there any other places I should try?
Is it not recommended to try to sell it to a dealer?

I think if you don't sell your car within 4 weeks you get your money back
In terms of researching price I've always used http://www.redbook.com.au/
It gives you an average range of what the car is worth, and average km's for similar cars of the same make.Just be aware that there's a pretty good chance you'll get scammers (in amongst the genuine buyers) trying to 'buy' your car. Basically if anyone wants the car shipped to them, can't come see it in person or pay you in a straightforward way etc etc then you should just ignore them as they are wasting your time.
drive.com.au is the other big one. If your car is of lesser value also consider ebay, I have had good success there. Gumtree is another thing to consider.
Generally only sell to a dealer with a trade in offer, and even then they usually just offer what you could have haggled anyway.
