Any else apply for the ACS Gold credit card?

I got the application spam in with the quarterly magazine or whatever sometime last year so I signed up for it. The promise was something like $200 of DJs gift cards for making 5 purchases in the first six months.

After having to chase them up on the phone several times over the last 6 months I finally go the reply that the deal only counted for new cardholders only. I don't remember anything like that because otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to sign up for the card in the first place! My other card is a plain old $0pa Qantas FF AMEX.

Anyone remember this promotion (or a similar one from another professional body - AFAIK the deals were all the same) or better yet still have that application form with the terms and conditions?

    Pretty sure Amex sign up bonuses have always had that "For new members only" clause, regardless of professional body card or not.

    Yep, can confirm $200 DJ voucher that came with the gold card. Best part? free for life + QFF points.
