Does anyone know of any brick-and-mortar stores in Perth that would have a Qi-enabled case for the Sony Xperia Z? Going on a trip on Sunday and would love to have the case/charging pad combo.

Ordered one for my Nexus 4. I was surprised that they actually had stock at my local store and that the attendant who answered my call was polite. I figured it's hit and miss with the Nexus 4, and if it doesn't work I'll put it up on eBay for cost-price which should sell pretty easily considering multiple units are being sold @ ~$65.
Let us know how this charger works with your Nexus 4. Did you reserve one and actually get it?

try orienting it up the other way (so if you had the cord towards you, turn it so the cord is away from you, keep phone right way up). I vaguely recall something about nokia's qi circuits being rotated 180 degrees compared to nexus 4's. I could be imagining things, but it can't hurt to try.

no idea kiwipride. my casing has 2 layers (like this: http://caseitup.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/nexus-4-credi…) and working. probably i shouldn't write 'perfectly' as I haven't charge it to 100%. let see.
I changed power points to a single outlet (not the 4 point one) and it works perfectly!
nexus has been sitting on charger for 4 hours and only gained 1%. Crap.
The Android 4.2.2 update fixed some problems with some wireless chargers including the DT-900.

Yeah i think for some it works and others not as much. I have 4.2.2 and i have to be dead spot on for it to charge. Even after 10 minutes, it was still stuck at 17%
EDIT: Something magically happened, left it on for about 25 minutes and im up to 35%. Before it wouldn't budge. More testing required.

It's still charging well but it's something i wouldn't rely on, i did get it to charge most of the time without it disconnecting. I believe its not something i can just throw on without much thought and let it charge successfully.
Sometimes it would charge quickly, other times it seems it takes ages.

From what i read it seems to be working well for some people (depends if its successful each time)others not so much
For $20 i cant complain (lucky i didnt buy it for $60, was about to a few weeks back)

Hmm perhaps this wireless charger should be avoided for N4 owners who need a reliable charger.
So if you must have a fully charged battery by the time you wake up for work/uni/going out, use normal charging methods. Neat gadget for $20 though.

Thanks mate got one from local dicksmiths and also managed to price match it at Harveys and get the Wireless Charging Stand version including NFC (they didn't have any of the normal ones and I had a legend of a sales person!

Picked up the last one from Doncaster and Chadstone. So don't bother there. I've also got a Nexus 4 and will report back if I have issues…
That's strange; because as of this reply, the website still shows that they have stock in a number of places in Victoria (including chadstone):

Visited two stores on the weekend with no luck, checked this morning and saw Rhodes NSW had one white one so did a 'Click and Collect' and just got back. Using it with my Nexus 4. Seems to work ok. Will report if anything changes :)
Yes, I'm late to the party. Called around this morning and got told no stock. Asked them to check if any click and collects had expired and managed to get 5 units (3 Black, 1 White and 1 Blue) from 2 Sydney stores.

Nexus 4 works fine most of the time. I bought this deal and use it at my work desk. Charges slower than cable and sometimes doesn't charge at all. When you put your phone down on it make sure the light glows solid on the mat (no blinking). nice for picking up a ringing phone without having to disconnect cable. Was using by the bed but too many failed charges (2 is too many) meant a relocation; it's good at work where I can keep an eye on it.
