Apparently they are upgrading their optics so they are clearing out stock.

Unfortunately this is not made by Swann, it's just re-branded. I've always liked Swann stuff too as it 'just works' but that won't be the case with this camera:

I got one from ebay for about $3. These are usually EXTREMELY poor quality so it really depends what you are looking for. For actually recording a conversation is fine but seems like a rare use case :)
There are MANY versions of this camera that all look nearly identical, so a $3 one might not perform nearly as well or have the same build quality as a $5 one. Or vice versa! Unless you know the exact manufacturer, it's impossible to know. They are commonly referred to as the 808 Car Keys Camera.

I've always had very good experiences with Swann branded gear, but that was about ten years ago so maybe their quality has changed since them. I've heard people complaining about some of their cameras more recently, but possibly because it's consumer gear when professional gear can be purchased for similar prices online with the right know-how.
For nearly $15 this one does seem rather expensive, but I guess with Ryda you can at least take it back to a physical store if there's a problem.

@ocoolio, so you purchased one for $3 and say they are "usually extremely poor quality"… was it a Swann though?
Best to avoid this particular model of the keychain camera, I recommend getting the '808 #16 HD mini DVR camera' because it shoots in 1280 x 720 @ 30fps. The quality is comparable to GoPro cameras.
Quick search on eBay and you'll find what your looking for at around $40 (including shipping)

Anyway, paying $40 for an 808 camera is ludicrous - I think I paid $12 for mine, delivered. There a many different variants, but none of them have a decent lens, and clearly the ccd is tiny, so the picture quality will be very average, despite having lots of pixels.
you would look really sus holding this at the right angle for filming although it would sometimes come in handy
