yeah dident really think of ebay fees thanks for your help :)
Maybe you could run it like a tattoo shop whereby customers submit their artistic designs with a downpayment and you come up with a printable design that can be put around the controller faceplate. It would definitely be a unique business opportunity.
Or like Vistaprint but you put your own design on to a controller. Not as good but much easier to do and almost unlimited potential to expand your operations.
And not charge for the content, just for delivery! (just like Vistaprint)
There is also the monthly cost of the store, not including the ebay fees. This is what stopped me doing business on eBay (got too expensive).
I'm not sure if many people will want to buy 360 controllers now, with the Xbox One less than 6 months away. Even then, it looks like the One isn't going to be popular, so maybe wait for the PS4 and then sell PS4 controllers.
why not use ozzie instead of oz btw. ?
yer all i keep reading is ebay fees are turning into the new crack market…… to exp to maintain
It's a fairly niche market. I suspect you will probably have to compete with the likes of other online stores like OZgameshop, or Deal Extreme / Focal Price, which means your prices will have to be very cutthroat in order to compete. I suggest taking a look at the aforementioned sites and see if you can compete with their pricing.
Very likely, it may not be a very profitable venture once you start taking account postage fees and ebay fees (9.9%).
