Canberra to Melbourne and back. Any suggestions for a student?

Hey guys, I'm travelling from Canberra to Melbourne and I would like to know some other cheap options that I have. The cheapest so far is Greyhound offering me 70 bucks, but I'd like to keep more options open.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

    try gumtree for anyone already going and looking to share costs. (at your own risk though)
