Hey guys, saw the Onda v973 on ebay for $298 ship from Australia, I thought it'd be good value for money compared to an ipad. Does anyone have ever used an Onda v973 can confirm their durability/usability of those tablets.

Nice review at XDA. Basically — nice screen, but Allwinner's A31 is really one of the slowest quad-core out there, and doing 4x more pixels don't help either.
The same tablet is also sold for ~USD$250 delivered in those overseas shanzhai online stores, but I wouldn't bother due to its CPU performance.
a $200 saving from an iPad isn't enough of a saving to make me consider such a flawed product.
Only people who cbb/cbs or don't know how to tinker with android OS would have such a idea to not save the $200.
But I too agree with the benefits of iOS. Simple&reliable.
If you want the retina quality screen in an android device, go the Nexus 10.
I would prefer to pay the extra 150-200 dollars for the iOS operating system.
I personally avoid iOS at any costs.
Android for me, iOS is ok…. but still to 'locked' for me :)
I wouldn't think this is very good at all.
