Airport Lounge Access Diners Club

Has anyone taken out a Diners Club membership so that they can get airport lounge access, and what is the cheapest way to get membership to cover this. It appears that you have to take a Mastercard as well with them to get the Diners Club membership. Any comments please?

free via professional association membership :)

  • The Finnair one says you need to have a Finnish Identification number.

Do you have any additional info on the liquorland one?

  • I am happy to stand corrected, but I think that I read somewhere that the free coles liquorland diners card did not give free lounge access. My research continues. Anyone out there with successful experience??

  • Note there are no lounges with free Diners Club access in Australia.

When I applied, it appeared that you had to take a Mastercard as well, and so I just wrote all over with the application form that I did not want the MC. I received the Diners Club membership only, and I have happily been using it for lounge accesses. No problems. They post statements (no pressure for electronic statements) Online funds transfer to pay bills cost 75 cents per transaction, and so I just load some money onto it about every 3 months so $3 per year for funds transfer. I like to use the card a little bit to ensure it is always active (I am DEFINITELY being over cautious I know)

    • 'Online funds transfer to pay bills cost 75 cents,' I am talking about paying your Diners Club account by online transfer.

      • so which one did you get in the end?

  • ref the free coles liquorland diners card you need an abn and i dont think it includes free lounge access as you can only use the card at coles liquor stores in aust 1st choice etc, i was told yes you can and no you cant by another diners club rep/. so anyone with the card yet tried it and did it work for free lounge access 0verseas?
