Galaxy S3 and Nexus 4 - which one is better overall?
Comments
Was tossing up as well a couple months ago and opted for S3.
Basically came down to battery life - Can't upgrade the Nexus 4's but plenty of cheap options to do it on S3. Done that straight away and has been superb. Very happy with it.
Also, with the Nexus 4 you cannot expand the storage capacity. Where as with the S3, you can put in an external micro SD card upto 64GB in theory and 32GB for sure.
The Galaxy S3 has USB On-The-Go compatibility which enables you to use your thumbdrive, PS3/Xbox controller to play games and keyboard/mouse etc. The Nexus 4 allegedly does not have this feature out of the box and requires Rooting/Kernel patching for you to obtain the Host Permissions.

I love my nexus 4
The samsung is plastic the nexus is not.
Yeah its pretty solid feeling
Is that good or bad? Plenty of shattered glass back of Nexus 4 reported on the internet…
I remember why I went the nexus now.. It supports more frequencies than the s3. Moving to Canada so need a phone that would support the 1700mhz
just wondering "more frequencies" means "faster", or frecuency of s3 is ok enough?
Nah won't make any difference to speed unless you get the 4G version of the s3. The advantage of the nexus with frequencies is that its penta band. Meaning its will work pretty much anywhere in the world. Handy if you travel. The nexus will actually work on 4G in Canada. Not here tho
Nexus. Galaxy is cheap and crappy.
Love my nexus4. Only phone so far to run SlimPort out of the box!
what about s3 1GB RAM and nexus4 2GB?
You can have more apps open at once.
The 4G/LTE version of SUI I (I9305) has RAM but more expensive.
Would MUCH rather a Nexus. The S3 is the laggiest phone I have ever used!
Very similar:

I went for the Nexus 4 because of the stock android and fast updates.
