Hi all, been pretty bored lately and decided to give wow a second shot.
I'm wanting to purchase two copies of everything so my partner and I can play together - does anyone know the cheapest way to get the original game + all the expansions and subscription etc?

Get someone to send you a scroll of resurrection and you will immediately have Cataclysm with 7 days of game time. Then (optional) just setup subscription and find the cheapest Mists of Pandaria and you're good to go.

I was under the impression that you can't even access the content of the expansion packs until you reach the appropriate level cap. This of course could be a false belief of mine, it is just something I was told by a colleague who likes to bang on about WoW. Never played it myself. Point being, if your partner ends up not liking the game or getting bored of it quickly(or just plain out never advances far enough to access expansion content), it'll be a decent waste of money.
To potentially save said money, why not;
- Set aside a good time for you to both play it
- Get the trial of standard WoW https://us.battle.net/account/creation/wow/signup/
- Smash out some hours on it
- If your partner is interested, continue to level cap then pursue full purchases if needed
Don't purchase two copies of the games, just purchase two accounts. That's where it works.
I could install all games on your computer, then you just register a new account!
I could be wrong, given the CD keys are there etc, but yeah… I've got it stalled on 2 PC's but never ran them at the same time.
Definitely get the "scroll of resurrection" or other such thing and get a bonus free something.
Usually the cheapest place is to get them from the Blizzard store when they are having a sale. 2 weeks ago you could get the game & expansion for $25

Dosame for partner.
Then only subscribe on friends account so 1st account gets bonus subs, free mount etc plus u guys can level fast together and summon each orher.
Also join a lvl 25 guild for fast levelling and free items.
I have sum spare cata upgrades cheap if u need codes.
Dse had cheap mop upgrades that may still b round.
