  • +1

Does the CD come with a massive red hand?

    • +3

Sadly no. Comes with a leaflet for their Australian tour (that ended two months ago).

  • You'll be a hero of the neighborhood
Nobody knows that you left for good
    You're in the army now
Oh, oh you're in the army, now

  • +1

Wow, 99c, I suppose I could always use the plastic cover for another disc and these discs as drink coasters.

Nah, might give it a miss, seems too expensive for me.

Is it just me or is all the 'deals/competition' related to ONE D tend to be junk food orientated?

They really should put it on unpopular items… I dunno like a mop to promote the tweens to clean after themselves…

    • +1

Coles have to be careful which products to associate with the ONE D comps. If they used them to promote a brand of laxative, the resulting combined effect could be fatal.

      • lol

Current choices are: Current choice: chocolate, coke, chips, toothpaste, frozen pizza, yoghurt, cat food, cereal, ONE D dvd

I liked Status Quo back in the day. However, i couldn't bring myself to buy this with 'that Coles song' on it.

    • Was thinking of making a comment like this, but wasn't sure if i'd be repeating myself by saying I liked Status Quo 'back in the day'.. you know, before they changed…

      • I liked the status quo too! Back when Whitlam was entering power before the days of Fraser and Howard.

And to think, in the '70's, there was 13 year old me at Tullamarine Airport banging on a window and frantically waving my arms, just to attract their attention, when I spied them boarding a postal plane!
My dear dad was heading overseas for 3 months. Poor dad just got a "Bye dad", from waaay over the other side of the departure lounge!
I got big "Right on" Status Quo waves!!
    Who's feelin' Down Down?
    The teenager in me!
    Big Pout :(

down down, our income is down
down down, our self respects down
    down down, our dignity's down
down down, my wife won't go down
down down, our tongues are all brown

  • +2

I'd use it as a Kris Kringle present and watch it get regifted every Xmas

waiting for the collectors limited edition. thanks anyway OP.

    • That is the collector's limited edition! The difference between the UK copy and this one is so tiny!

      • Has that jingle listed as 'Down Down (Coles 2012)'
      • Comes with a leaflet for their Australian tour (that ended two months ago)
      • Under the 'special thanks' section in the booklet, the first subject mentioned is 'everyone at Coles'.
      • It even has the lyrics printed in the book!

This site is like an encyclopaedia. Today's lesson… rock music history.
So that's who those old guys were on the Coles ad! I thought it might have been something significant.

Our flatmate works at Coles and he says this song just about makes him want to top himself, especially at the end of a shift. For 99 cents I might buy it for him just for a laugh.

  • Anyone seen it at other Coles? I asked at my local and they had no idea about the album! I had to explain the band to them "the one who does your jingle!". It's a worry… ;-)
