Do you get your Internet purchases delivered to home or work?

Where do you guys ship your products you buy online, work or home?

I'm at work 9-5 so i stopped shipping products to home because I have to go pick it up. Also I like to ship to work, however I read some companies have banned shipping to workplaces. Have any of your workplaces banned getting personal items to you office.

  • Yeah mine always banned it and my husband's has now as well. Luckily our current post office opens Saturday am.

  • If the seller uses Auspost you could send it to a locker.

Fortunately I have a friend with an office for the rest.

  • Most of the online stuff I have delivered to work - though I am paranoid they will stop allowing it. Obviously not big things… I am considering whether to buy a vacuum cleaner online, but best not to have that delivered to work, and I don't have a car. If items are shipped to home address and a card is left I have to leave work around 45 mins early to take a bus to the post office to pick up, and there is always a queue.

  • I don't like picking up from the post office, defeats the purpose of having the convience of net shopping. unless it is product you can't get instore or the price is much less online.

  • Having been on both sides - I got a team that works under me and personally don't mind my team members getting their deliveries at office, but what annoys me is when they open the package as soon as they arrive, and starts to trying on shoes and showing off their purchase to everyone as people from other team/higher managers are close by; or sometimes when their parcels are not delivered for some reason, people just decide to take random "personal break" to go to the post office to collect them, kinda annoying and sets up a bad example for others. I liked to have my purchases delivered to work for the convenience, but I'd do it very discreetly to avoid drawing attention from the boss.
