Think it is normally $13kg. The meat guy told me because they don't have the 3 star mince that is supposed to be on special they have got the 4 star mince for $6kg instead (sold in 500g packs for $3). The 3 star mince was $8 kg so not sure how this works, but it does :)

Did you check the use by date? Probably expiring tomorrow, especially since the 3 star costs more…
This is a pretty valid point. Most times I find meat on special at major supermarkets, they tend to be very close to expiry.
Coles only ever have mince that is 2 days from expiry anyway.
Maybe when the nasty additives were taken out of mince they could only sell with 2 day expiry.
Either way I don't shop there anymore

Good price. This is the normal price for 3-star mince at my coles (Brisbane 4073).
