28 Degrees / Paypal

Hi all

Probably been answered before but i cant find it during a post search. Im starting to buy alot of overseas products and have seen that people are saving using a 28 Degrees card.

Currently i pay everything via paypal.

Im assuming its worthwhile to get the card and use that instead of paypal? Or…When i do get my card do i associate it to my paypal and use it that way?

Cheers!

register your 28 degrees card in paypal.

and use it as per normal. just avoid the paypal conversion. let paypal charge your cc in the foreign currency.

  • Link the card to your PayPal and set PayPal to let your bank (not paypal) do the conversion

      How???

      • I'd like to know as well. I can't find where to do this on the PayPal site.

        Edit: Never mind…found this…

"You can see these conversion options by clicking Other Conversion Options on the Review your Payment page."

Guess it only happens when making the purchase.

        • thanks - I was going to call them for this.

  • If you can't get a 28 degrees card, get a citibank debit card and link it and avoid like people said the paypal conversion by using the card.

    • I keep getting rejected by 28° and they won't tell me why.
Is the citibank card also conversion fee free?

      • Yep conversion fee free.

          Seriously?

So besides the price warranty, what are the feature differences between 28° and Citibank Plus with regards to online purchases?

          It's not a credit card…

        • One's a Mastercard, One's a Visa Debit :D

But seriously, 28 Degrees is a credit card, with high interest rates if you don't pay it back within the 55 days, it has Shopper's protection and Travel Insurance.

Citibank is a debit card, where you spend your own money, and it also gets you a free bottle of wine at selected restaurants :)
