Spray ones normally have Aluminum. People say that Aluminum clogs up your pores and builds up causing itchiness and irritation. Roll-on ones don't.
Incorrect: Anti-perspirant deodorant has aluminium in it. The aluminium (aluminium zirconium) stops you from sweating. If this ingredient is missing, it is merely trying to mask your smell with a more powerful smell. The exception to this are "natural" deodorants that use tea tree oil or whatever.
This is regardless of spray on or roll on. Although in my experience, anti-perspirant deodorants usually come in a roll-on style.
Most of the common deodorant brands contain Aluminium Chlorohydrate as the active ingredient in percentages ranging from 2% to 20%. This applies to sprays and roll-ons. Most of the marketing claims are just that, claims, as there isn't much else different in active chemicals. When looking at sprays they also contain propellent (to allow it "spray") so it's hard to compare "value" between the two dispensers. Just personal preference really - sprays generally dry faster.
Take your pick of the thousands of websites regarding health claims but don't believe everything you read as much of it is contradictory or unsubstantiated and as bad as urban myths ;-)
Are spray ons better value then roll ons?
