I am going to Hongkong around 10 to 15 July
Could anyone pls suggest a cheap hotel in Hongkong? my budget is around 80-100 AUD per night.

Ibis. Part of the Accor family, budget prices, and in decent to good locations.
I stayed at Panda hotel 2 months ago for 5 days. in a 2 bedroom suite + lounge room (family). it was out of the "city" but considering it was next to an underground station (3 minutes walk) it wasn't really that far out. (if you have to take a train for 1 station then why not take it for 10?). the suite had been freshly revamped. I found it cosy - nespresso machine, 40" LED tvs in each room. beds made every day. all toiletries restocked. there is a 3 story shopping centre beneath it (underground. Aoen supermarket. very good.) located near tsim sha tsui.
Agoda has a standard double for $121 a night, not sure if they have been renovated or not.
I found wego.com.au was best for looking up prices -gives prices from a variety of websites. it was easy. no need to search multiple sites.

Ah the Mansions. One of the cities best Peking Duck right across the road. Right in the heart of the Shopping District. But as netbies hints-expect a culture shock!
As Greenpossum pointed out, HK is expensive; I really struggled finding a perfect bargain when I visited. However, my brother stumbled on http://www.trivago.com.au/hong-kong-73566 and it was helpful. Maybe you can try other sites that compare hotel prices too. Good luck
Stretch that budget a bit and I still think the best value accommodation in HK is the YMCA Salisbury. Right next to HK most famous hotel, the peninsula and 1/5 of the price.
YWCA is also good (and cheaper than YMCA. Also typically better availability). A little out of the way but 15mins walk to MRT. I didn't care because a little exercise doesn't hurt.
The T Hotel, cant go wrong.
Have a look for new htls just opening and offering special deals - 'soft openings'.
I take it you want a hotel room rather than a room in one of those guest houses located in a giant block of flats. HK is an expensive place, so that's going to be tough. Try wotif.com. One possibility is to stay away from the centre, like Hung Hom, and catch transport in.
I had good experiences with the Mingle group of boutique hotels. I've stayed at the Wanchai one as well as the one in Sheung Wan. If you're lucky you might be able to get it cheaper than rack rate, but maybe not in July. BTW, take an Ethernet cable. While Wifi is available and free, you will get more reliable connection with wired.
