Actually, I watched a colleague use something like this OTG - from another supplierm I think - abd it stopped his tab cold in its tracks… 'dunno why…?
Could there be more than one type or wiring in OTG cables…?
I bought mine from ebay. Looks like this, and the connector was not very well made so once In a while while I was watching a video the tablet would suddenly unmount and remount the USB drive intermittently. A blob of blu-tack did the trick though.
The right angled one I bought from BrentsNbits was of higher quality, but it blocks my charging ports on the Cube.
Some of the connectors have fatter plastic around the connector, so a proper connection may not happen. I have a samsung phone that has a narrow port so doesn't allow some cables to connect.
