Needing new earphones (something similar to Sennheiser CX300)

Hey guys. After owning my Sennheiser CX300s for seven years, the other day one earphone decided to die.

Now I'm not too sure what my next choice should be as I haven't had a read about earphones in a long time and was hoping you guys could help me out. So if you guys could help me out by showing me something of similar or better performance, that would be great.

I mainly listen to electro, house, trance etc. but do like my bass too and my budget is $100.

Thanks.

  • Thanks for the input guys.

I read that the S4 is a bit low on the bass side though :( I will have a read on the other models though.

If you liked the CX300, have you considered getting another pair? That's probably the way I would go.

    • I've just my second pair die on one ear… surely it can't be just my bad luck :(

Time for something else for me i think.

      • Through my headphone addiction, I've tried to find many alternatives to my original CX300, but I keep going back to new Cx300… nothing comes close in comfort and sound, especially with some foam tips.

      • Well OP did say it lasted for 7 years. "After owning my Sennheiser CX300s for seven years, the other day one earphone decided to die."

7 years is still a very long time for a pair of headphones to last, especially a mid-range pair. I would be impressed if my headphones lasted 7 years!

  • I used to buy Sennheiser earbuds but they would always break after 6 months. I got a pair of these and they have lasted a while longer: http://www.meelec.com/MEElectronics_M16_In_Ear_Headphone_p/e…
They have more expensive models if you want better performance. I honestly don't care that much since its only for listening on the train, build quality is more important to me.
