My wifes samsung galaxy nexus phone has following issue as she dropped it couple of times:
a. The screen smashed which needs to be replaced. I actually got the replacement screen from ebay. So, just need someone to replace it.
b. The main issue is that the phone is not starting. It seems issue is that it is not charging. Basically, if i take battery out and then put it in, i hear the vibration and small sound like when it is starting. But then nothing happens after.
Not sure if anyone has get any ideas on where to get it fixed cheaply in Sydney. Considering I bought the phone for $349, some of repair guys I checked online were asking for $180 which sounds a bit too steep.

Any half decent repairer would run a mile from this. They replace it and it doesnt work. Who is at fault. You, the source you bought it from, or the installer?
And as you said the phone doesnt start, so how can they even test their work. Also what if the the starting cant be fixed by then.
You need a tech friend to help out, thats probably the best route to take. Or check out what damaged phones sell for on ebay and cut your losses
