Cheap and Decent Tablet for around $100 mark

I bought my nieces Optus MyTab last year when they were $99 special. Now, they are finding it outdated as it has old version of android.

I missed on Nexus 7 deal on dicksmith for $148. That would have perfect. Just seeing if anyone had any suggestions. Remember its for kids and they probably would want a new one in 1-2 years time. As a result I really want it around $100.

    Your kids are going to hate that tablet. At the very most it will play divx movie files, and basic apps. The single core CPU is a real downer.

    If you buy them that one they are going to want a new one instantly. If you buy a Nexus, it should remain sufficient for their needs until it breaks or the battery conks out, basically.

    I would try and get the Nexus as cheaply as possible, alternatively, take the punt on a Chinatab if you really cant go past the $100 barrier.

      thanks for your feedback. I was certainly going to buy that tomorrow. It seems it wont be any different to the one I already have. I guess I'll wait till I see a deal on nexus 7 again.

      Thanks. But unfortunately, that one is faulty n only for parts. They seem to be going for around for couple of hundred for second hand ones.
