Sydney Flight Simulator $89 (after ozbargain coupon)

11
ozbargain

Our 30 minute Sydney Jet Flight Simulator experience gift voucher is now only $99 and, after the "ozbargain" coupon code I setup for OzBargain, the total price is just $89.

Prices scale for longer times:

  • 30 Minutes - $99
  • 60 Minutes - $189
  • 90 Minutes - $269
  • 120 Minutes - $299

For any of the experiences over $100, using the code "ozbargain%" will knock 10% off the price. Great idea for a Dad who has always wanted to fly or any aviation enthusiast.

  • Is that 30 mins flying time? Or does that 30 mins include the introduction and a "debriefing" after the flight

    • Hi! I haven't been on one myself, but the operator does describe it as a "30 minute flight".

    • +1

From the reception desk we went straight down to the simulator almost as soon as we had arrived (pretty much on time). Once seated in the simulator, there is a short intro that only took a few minutes (I had bought a 60 minute session).

It was an enjoyable experience - but (see my comment below) price-wise, you can get cheaper than offered in this deal

  • Does this have full motion ?

    • Hi! The experience does not include any sort of hydraulic system that moves the cabin around, if that is what you mean. There is only "simulated motion" which most guests report as the sensation of moving, but it is a Fixed Based Device simulator. Thanks!

        LoL, good luck selling these

      • Thanks :)

      • Sounds like playing MS FlightSim in a cockpit then…

        • This is a commercial airline simulator and it is commonly used by qualified pilots looking to pass aviation tests who need more clocked hours. It has been built to be realistic in every way possible. I can understand why some people might want a hydraulic system though!

        • Your're spot on. I think 3 projectors, a cockpit, and Microsoft flight simulator.
THere was a 1H for $69 offer, just last week.

  • I have been to this exact flight simulator and paid $149 (via a living social deal) for a 60 minute experience. This was only a few weeks ago.
Using the special ozbargain 10% code provided by the rep $189 x 0.9 = $170.1

So in my opinion, this is not a deal.

    • Was it any good at least? Describe the experience?

      • +1

The boyfriend loved it. I recommend the experience, just not THIS price.

How do I describe something I understand very little about? Well his co-pilot was fantastic and really friendly. The first flight was simple, then she gradually increased the difficulty level by doing night flights and difficult weather conditions e.g. fog. We actually went a few minutes over 60 minutes, (there didn't seem to be anyone waiting after us and that was how long it took to land his last flight etc. )

Also, in terms of location, this flight simulator is just 2 minutes walk from the Grounds in Alexandria (on the same street), so you could eat there afterwards and make a day of the experience.

        • you could be the hostie!?

        • And join the mile high club…

          welll….10metre high club! lol

So in my opinion, this is not a deal.

It is a deal…. just so happens you got a better one….. unless your deal or a better is currently available, your neg is invalid.

      • That is also a fair way of looking at it

I did preface my statement with "in my opinion"

Also, the way the post was written made it seem like ozbargainers were getting an especially low price, whereas this is not the case.

      • Got your mod status yet Andy?

        • +1
