hi everyone,
I just found out that Rabo has a new type of account called the "Notice Saver"
It's like a term deposit, in that you can't immediately withdraw your money.
Here's a Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V from their site:
The account is a bit like an online savings account except you have to give us advance notice to take your money out. Which means you're far less tempted to buy on impulse, so it helps you save or put money aside. Clever huh?
Choose from three notice periods
The amount of notice you choose to give isn't an investment period like a Term Deposit, it's just the amount of notice you need to give before your money is available.
31 Day Notice Saver - Provide 31 days notice to withdraw funds
60 Day Notice Saver - Provide 60 days notice to withdraw funds
90 Day Notice Saver - Provide 90 days notice to withdraw funds"
Notice Period | Interest Rate: $0 - $250k | Interest Rate: $250k - $2m | Interest Rate: $2m+ |
---|---|---|---|
31 Days | 4.45% p.a. | 4.10% p.a. | 3.50% p.a. |
60 Days | 4.55% p.a. | 4.20% p.a. | 3.50% p.a. |
90 Days | 4.65% p.a. | 4.30% p.a. | 3.50% p.a. |
What do Ozbargainers think? Worth switching to?
Personally, I wont be switching, because RAMS is higher, but I guess if you didn't want to deposit $200/month, it'd be a good alternative once Rabo's 4 month introductory rates ran out?
Can you please put a link in which RAMS rates are much higher? thanks
