Depends how long you need it for.
If you look in the forums, there's plenty.
RAMS if you don't mind parking your money a while (, you need to deposit $200 every month, and you can't withdraw), is currently the highest I believe.
If you're looking short term, Rabo has the same rate as RAMS, (4.76% in case you didnt check) for a four month period except you have more flexibility with your money (you can withdraw.)
If you're looking for a term-deposit-like account, Rabo has a new account called "NoticeSaver" which requires you to let them know 31-91 days in advance before you withdraw the funds. This has rates varying depending on how long you "notice of withrawal" is. The problem with this is it's quite rigid and your cash isn't as liquid as other saving accounts.

      • will definitely check them both out … thanks

  • U Bank used to be the best but seem to have slipped in the ratings. Rams are now definately offering the best deal IF YOU ARE PREPARED NOT TO WITHDRAW FUNDS & ADD TO THE ACCOUNT ON A MONTHLY BASIS WITH $200.00. Another option would be to add to your super fund ( if you have one - or open one ) This will mean you will not be taxed on interest made. We recently changed investments to the ANZs super scheme - One Path - which is already yielding a good return. Depends on your age of course in a super fund as to wether you can afford to leave it there for a number of years until you're an old fart ( like my husband !!)

  • just going on the net now to check them all out. (dont have a super fund). so far best is 4.25% …. very poor .will keep looking,
would like a simple TD not an online a/c that is too complicated or you have to keep adding funds every mth etc … cheers all

  • Bit the bullet … Opened a/c with rams… Will be interested to see how long they stay ahead of the pack.
Many Thanks for your advice …
