SanDisk 64GB Mobile Ultra MicroSDXC Class 10 is $52.90 delivered from ebay. Is the Samsung better?

Neverever go with Sandisk - lots of problems lately.

Samsung flash memory is ultra reliable.

    • Hithecrevis,

I believe the Samsung Pro is way better as the read speed is up to 70 MB/s and write speed is up to 20 MB/s while the read speed for Sandisk is 30MB/s. (Information is from packaging and vendor's website)

  • Are the build quality of these Samsungs better than the 64gb Sandisk ones of which I've heard many comments of faulty ones)?

edit: beat me to it ^^

Faulty usually means not genuine. Genuine is a premium you pay for the testing of memory cards to make sure they all work properly. Let's be honest though, there may be a faulty genuine card but usually these are often fake.

    • Yea non-genuine usually plagues the larger more famous brands.
Sandisk is like the LV of memory cards, which is why it becomes plagued by fakes.

Sandisk has been making high performance memory cards and mem sticks for a very long time.
Samsung on the other hand has only started reaching into the SD Card market only a few years ago.

I am starting to like Samsung more though, as they are mostly made in Korea.

I just got a replacement for my "SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC Class10".
I was using it in my GoPro3Black and it just died.
I bought it off Amazon and it was replaced by Sandisk. So even the originals die.

    • HA~

How does one tell if they are genuine or not, when the vendor claims they are?

      • Quite a lot of people still get sucked in by eBay and all the fakes that are on there.
Sandisk is one of the most faked memory cards which floats around on the web and on eBay.

Remember, everything breaks down, even your body does.
I've got a friend who seems to always have something electronic break down on him, maybe its just his luck.

The debates and arguments will always go on and on when it comes to the question "Which one is more reliable?". I am sure we will be able to find a people who had broken Sandisk ones, and people who have broken Samsung ones, so which one is more reliable? lol.

Can I use this with my iPhone 2G?

    • No. All the iPhones so far have no microSD slots.

    • Wait for ios7 and it will work

    • Can I use this with my iPhone 2G?

      Only compatible with 2GS.

  • Is there a web site that compares read/ write speed of these cards? I mean the samsung is significantly faster than Sandisk apparently.

  • Damn, I bought one for $64 delivered 2 weeks ago

    Great deal!

Mind boggling how they can stuff 64GB into that tiny card

    • while I am thinking why the USB memory stick is "HUGE" nowadays…

      • while I am thinking why the USB memory stick is "HUGE" nowadays…

Can't be smaller than a minimum size.. the Sandisk Cruzer Fit is the smallest you're going to get.

It has to at least be as big and deep as the port it goes in, and stick out just a little bit or else you won't be able to pull it back out.

        • I have my Sandisk Cruzer Fit that's slow at around 32Mbyte/sec read and 14Mbyte/sec write.
Also I have Sandisk Extreme USB3 which is crazy fast so it crashed and back to Sandisk for RMA.

        • Extreme USB3 is commonly reported as unreliable.

Maybe some day the Fit will get a USB3 upgrade, but I don't expect it any time soon. I use it for my car audio player. It's perfect.
