Dyson DC39 Animal $599 at Appliancesonline, Free Shipping

140

In the market for a new vacuum and was looking around when I saw this. It's the lowest price (local) I've seen for this model.

I got mine from Masters after price match (I wanted to pick it up and have it now rather than wait for it to be delivered).

  • Why pay $200 extra for this?
You can get dc29 for $395.

    • This one's got the turbo / turbine rotating brush head? I think it's $129 as a separate item.

    • Reading from a Product Guide: it's supposed to be high performance on carpets, hard floors and tiles (as opposed to just suitable for carpets and hard floors). Pet hair pick up. Ball technology and the brush bar control at the handle. It has the triggerhead tool as main floor tool plus two other floor tools (on top of the combination accessory and stair tools). The two additional tools total $140 rrp.

Yes, I thought this deal is good and got one. So, thanks, OP!

    The price is unbelievable

      …. dear ?

      • It is super cheap.

Usually 600 can only get yourself a DC39 Allergy

  • Can anyone reccommend a cheaper/generic alternative that is a decent vac with good filtration?

    • $300 or under.. Miele S5211 10/10 quality and performance.
Get the turbo head thrown in or for a few extra $$'s if you can.
I would have one before any dyson personally…

  • I wish I have that much money to blow. My $200 one does the job quite fine, thank you.

I thought that until we got a Dyson.

      • Could you elaborate? The guys in the vacuum shop told me Dysons were good but no better than many others and you're just paying for the brand (maybe they don't get a high commission for them?)

Can't really quantify the difference - it is just that carpets, floors etc. look and feel much cleaner.

        • And did this particular shop sell Dyson?

  • over $100 cheaper than most places, might have to finally take the plunge

  • Just finished cleaning the filters in our DC08 after about 6 years found out I was to do them every 6 months, still going strong.

    • LOL, gd on u. I vac up some fine dust after demolition of the bathroom and it stopped the DC08 from sucking efficiently, almost to the point of choking. After a wash of the sponge and dried 12 hrs later, still going strong… Impressive.
