Jerkaholic1

Having signed up for the free sample posted here a couple of weeks ago, I received my first EDM from Jims today - and it's a pretty decent deal. Maybe not enough to convince you to buy as a newbie, but nice if you buy anyway. I hope somebody can get some use out of it:

Copy & Pasted from the email…..

Pay attention – this offer comes with instructions:

Buy some Jim’s Jerky – go on, you know you want more, that jerky itch has been scratched… and it is itching for more!

You can do so right here!!!

We are introducing our very first PROMO Code: Jerkaholic1 make sure you enter this when reviewing your cart - before payment.

If you have spent a minimum of $25.00 (excluding freight) AND entered the Promo Code (again very important step, don’t forget the code) You will receive 1 x 130g ORIGINAL BILTONG - complimentary with your order!!!

If you have spent a minimum of $45.00 (excluding freight) AND entered the Promo Code (you get the picture) You will receive a 1 x 130g ORIGINAL BILTONG & 1 x 200g

TRADITIONAL DRYWORS – yes you guessed it – both at no extra charge!!!

I wouldn't call it a sample if you're already buying some.

Fair enough - but the samples are of specified types and flavours, so they might not be the same as you are buying - in my mind making them samples. I have no problem editing if it's the incorrect terminology or against the rules

  • It's not available to everyone, you left out this bit…

This is an exclusive offer valid for ONE WEEK ONLY to the select few that took us up on sampling our product

    • Wow, I would have sampled their product but they ran out of samples last deal..

I was considering this one, but what's the point if its not available?
I don't even know if I'll like their jerky

      • same here. missed out last time and miss out now. not happy jim!.

        think I'll just make some.

Not a great deal their price is $70/kg while you can grab decent biltong from other online sellers (in Brisbane) for $53/kg

    • Not all Biltong is the same - having tried nearly all I could find - I'm more than happy to pay Jim's prices - it's the best by a long shot :)

  • Received my sample from previous giveaway. I would say it is delicious although it tastes a bit too salty.
Can i find similar nice jerky at woolworths or coles? And is it cheaper at big supermarkets?

      No, Jack Link's tastes crap…

      • Agreed on Jack Links, but the samples they sent me last round were pretty hard. I wasn't too hot on these either.

I like the chinese ones you get at asian grocery stores. Juicier.

          I like the chinese ones

Plus they're made from mystery meat.

cant justify paying $12 shipping fee. not buying.

  • Got the sample and really loved it, but wasn't significantly better than my homemade beef jerky from my $41 (including delivery) food dehydrator (http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/eurolab-food-dehydrator-2/) using $15/kg grass fed free range rump steak from vic market.

At these prices the dehydrator has already paid for itself!

    • That said, I LOVED the funny tone of the email

    • Could you provide a recipe for the jerky? :)
