          Well when did u place your order?
          I called at 9.15ish and they said that they had none available.
          This does not mean that your order was not the reason the stock was gone.

          Looking at all the comments though, it would appear that no one has stock any where or even had it to sell in the first place

          And yes thats the number i called

          Just spoke to Fountain Gate, they said 7 or 8 people were able to place orders for click and collect at their store. They said they never had any!! He also said that NO stores are honoring this price, to which I said that's not correct people have managed to purchase them at that price today. He didn't even say sorry and it took them over an hour to answer their phone.

    I click and collected placed the order…. got the email… all good .. rang store Kotara.. Hunter Valley…. NO STOCK have not had that model since beginning of April WTF? Dick Does NO Deals :-(

      What REALLY sucks is that the deal is still up on their website.

    Its looking like it was all just a big website error to me! There was another $260 laptop that showed full stock and then went out of stock everywhere too. They don't have to honour that price do they? Even if they have it in stock? I've reserved two at fountain gate through click and collect. I'm highly doubtful things will turn out for me though. The store hasn't been answering since they opened!

    Imaginary stock - NO DEAL. Headphones, Cordless phones, Nexus 7 the list goes on being able to Click and Collect and even payment for delivery but never got an item in the end. Must be Dick's way of increasing web traffic to their site.

    I just called the store I got a Click & Collect confirmation from earlier.
    They now say they have not had stock for months. What an incredible mess.
    Just more confirmation of why to stay away from DSE.

    I just rang up an SA branch and they said every call to the store this morning has been about this laptop
    I didn't even have to say the model number he told me they were out of stock
    I said to him you don't even know what model I'm after he said its Acer V3-571
    and I said yes

    Did click and collect strait away when this deal came up, got confirmation email.
    Just got a voice message saying the store never had stock and I've missed out.

    Call Highpoint in VIC. Was told that this is super old model and that I would not like it.. it has not been in stock for ages.. 2 other stores got them.. if you are determined to get them.. call those two.. both said out of stock for ages!!! rehearsed? lol

        Leaving the post as as "still available" on OzBargain is serving no one. No we don't get paid by DickSmith, but the aim of this website is about helping shoppers locating deals. Even if DickSmith did not contact us, someone else would have reported this deal as expired / out of stock.

          I think you misunderstood me. I was angry with DSE, not with you. They didn't feel shame to ask you to mark "out of stock" instead of they do it themselves! Of course they didn't hire you and you should mark it Error or expired to avoid wasting more people's time. Thanks.

    Tuggerah NSW said they haven't had any since Feb 2013 despite it saying "low stock"

    She reckons NSW don't have stock anywhere. So I'm not sure who to believe. She also mentioned it's a pricing error anyway and may have trouble having it honoured even if there were stock :/

    EDIT: Going by scotty's post above, I think I have my answer. Oh well, was a nice dream for all of 60 seconds or so.

      The MOD's have just been contacted by DSE asking them to mark it out of stock as it was a technical issue and should never been offered as click and collect

    Just visited Hollywood Plaza SA. Sales Rep says they have no stock in SA at all. The last time they sold this model was in December 2012. Says don't know why it's showing up like that in system.

    Technial issue, incorrect pricing, no stock. Always excuses but this happens everytime they have deals going. Also the fact that 2 newcastle stores say low stock but 'apparently' never had them.

    What I can't stand with Dick Smith is the "low stock, please call".
    Why can they not keep count? Do I need to call them to help count? If it's above 0, you have stock.

    I just got a call from Winston Hills NSW store and the guy apologised that the item is out of stock and is unsure why this was allowed in system as they havent had any stock since december 2012. Oh well at least I got a verbal apology

    I placed order's at Frankston, Cranbourne, Mornington and Rosebud.

    Received 4 phone calls stating website error no stock.

    Rosebud phone called said Fountain gate / Mentone were only stores in stock at 9am

    Am now negging this deal as Dicksmith are still advertising that price on their website AND I couldn't get one even though I ordered 4 at different stores

      At least you got a call/msg, I called fountain gate and told them I had a click and collect, didn't give my name or any details. But they said they don't stock it and it's an error, and confirmed they don't have stock (no apology) and that seven other orders were also placed.

      Yet my order is still pending and I haven't heard from them at all to tell me this is the case! Rude!

    As I said earlier,

    when I called about the exact model, they asked "which one? The $497 one?" I said "no, the $156 one" to which they replied no stock. So it seems to me $497 is the actual price, and they put everything as out of stock although they might actually have the model in store at $497.

DSE postings Should be banned on this site with the amount of FUp's they make, they couldn't run a bath.

      Scotty, I got as far as a Click & Collect confirmation (stock available showing on the website) but was told by staff at the store they had not had it in stock for months. He confirmed it was a "monumental stuff up" on the website.

      Please remove it. DSE don't deserve the advertisement they're getting and nobody else should be fooled. To the average browser, it appears as though DSE had an amazing deal, it sold out within an hour and now it states as such.

    3 hours later no call from dse to confirm or deny the click and collect and the price is still the same on their website, come in sucker…….
