Good for anyone who has not seen the movie or what's to give Xbox Movies a spin on their Windows 8 tablet.

There is no direct link so best to access via the Movies app on Windows 8 or the Movies section on Xbox360 and searching Star Trek

Dont you need xbox live gold for this on xbox?

I dont know how it works on Win 8 though.

I might try it later.. but I dont hold much hope since its MS.

Can the original poster explain in detail how this work? I searched for Star Trek (2009) and My rental says 250 MS points for SD and 310 MS points for HD, so it isn't free for me.

For windows 8: Go to Metro (windows key) and type in "Video" to search for it. If nothing is found search for it in the store.

The app has a red background with a play button, the Movie should be under spotlight

Got it to work on my Win 8 laptop, went to the Win 8 Movies app and it was advertised as free rental.
