In the cold fridge at the front with the curries and sandwiches.

50cent for 500gram - that's some cheap fondue.

  • Photo shows "Kraft" not "Coon"

    • fixed. I didn't look that carefully.
looks similar to coon cheese formally made by Kraft but now by National Foods

  • That is awesome. I'd be getting armfulls of the stuff if I lived anywhere near there.

  • Very good. What a deal…

It's good for macaroni and cheese, not much else though… It has the texture of rubber.

Nice one jv- just grabbed some to seal the gaskets on my old stagecoach.

    • and melting through stagg chilli then eating it all with corn chips!

      • Yum, seriously.

  • wow… wish it was nationwide
If i worked at Coles i'd put the special price tag and then buy the entire lot

      Very crafty!

      • I like your kraftwork

You may get a job in Dick Smith easily. :)

    • If they are anything like Woolworths I wouldn't do that. If you mess up and accidentally set it to too low of a price you'll get in a fair amount of trouble if you buy it (especially if you buy a lot of it)

  • i love this stuff, even though it's processed, it has an addictive taste - had it since i was a kid, works well as cheese on toast

  • My favourite cheese! I'd clear the shelf if this was at every Coles! Is it short dated stock?

  • How long ago did it expire?

    • It's highly processed cheese. Like it will ever expire

  • +1

Just be careful with this one guys. Check for expiry please!

As per earlier post, it is highly processed but then why is it in the cold section? Usually it is just sold off a normal shelf along with other bottled cheeses and spreads. Have never seen it in the cold section! I do believe it needs to be refrigerated after opening though?

    Nice addictive taste though.

    • Yup. I have once chanced upon cheap yoghurt in coles and just before checkout, checked the expiry date and it expired the day before. Wtf?

    • Um, ever looked in the cold cheese section in the supermarket? All the processed cheese slices are there. They still need to be refrigerated.

      • This stuff doesn't need to be refrigerated. It's good for camping etc where you obviously can't keep food cold. Apart from that it's horrendous crap.

        • Used a lot in Indo deserts. Wife use it for her cheese cake and indo pancake, matabak. Turns out really nice

          salty cheesecake mmm-mmmm

  • Bargain. When I was a kid I actually thought this was cheese. Makes a good welsh rarebit.

  • The only cheese I use for cheese pasta yummy!!!
