How does this compare to AVAST? I'm considering upgrading from AVAST FREE as it's become too bloated for my liking, and -$1 is just about right for a tightarse such as myself.

EDIT2: Perhaps not the solution for me, it too looks feature packed (bloated) and isn't what I'm looking for personally. I just want a simple AV solution. I have other software to take care of these other things and hate doubling up on features, just slows the computer down needlessly… :(
They have an "average slow-down" metric for antivirus products on av-test.org - AVG Free scores much better than Avast on that, and better for "Protection" too. Worth a try.
The cost of going there to pick up, scan a receipt and lodging a claim will easily outweigh the benefit of $1. Consider that instead of paying for the full price, then it's worth purchasing from them. However, for $1, it's not worth it consider shoppingexpress used to have it shipped to your door and issued an electronic receipt for you.
