I want to preorder this game, but it is around $70 in Australia and does not come with any preorder 'bonuses' (EB Games and JB)
Do you guys think it would work out ok if I bought a copy from Ozgameshop? It is only $50 there so I wouldn't mind saving $20 on it, even if I have to wait an extra week or so.
I'm assuming the game will still work on my 3DS that I bought in Australia?

As porleng suggests, if you are happy to not get it on day one, why are you preordering at all? Wait and see who has teh best deal.
to get the bonuses, sometimes you have to preorder since they're not available anymore after day one.
As mentioned, there are none.
Also they are usually pretty rubbish anyway (and if they are not then they will be released to everyone).
And I've never seen any preorder bonuses with pokemon that involve anything for ingame use. I remember gold/silver came with badges.
So do you guys reckon the price will come down soon after release? I don't mind waiting 1-2 weeks I suppose
You can still buy it at release and just wait to see if a better price comes up. What do you gain by ordering now?

EB Games now have a pokeball with pre-orders?
Yeah I got mine from WowHD for under $40 and that Pokeball with the EB deal will be all over ebay for $2. They were having 20%
I've ordered 2 from WowHD for that same price, going by previous history I fear we're gonna be lucky to see these games and if they do they will most likely be late.

Just wanted to share my experience, I usually wait until the release date for 3DS games, because shops like K-mart, Big W and Target sell it for pretty cheap for the first 2 weeks or so. i.e. I got Animal Crossing New Leaf second week after launch at Target for $49.
But my guess it would be around $55 at least for Pokemon, the cheapest I gotten for any Pokemon games I bought from launch day in Aus. I would get it from Gamesmen but + $4.90 shipping and comes in the coming Monday by Post I assumed since it release on a Saturday, would rather be better off at getting it at my local shopping centre.
P.S. Most 3DS games don't cost at $69.99 Aus ver. nowadays. Pretty cheap like I said above on launch day for the above stores. You can always go to EB and price match if you like.
If you are willing to wait a couple of days for delivery then go preorder with ozgameshop. However, you should wait until a week before it releases just in case there are preorder bonus from ebgames or jb. Games from ozgameshop will work fine with a aus 3ds however you cannot redeem the Nintendo points.
