Pleased with my Hallensteins purchases to date too, although my chinos 'rustle' when I walk as the fabric is reasonably stiff. I found the chinos true to size (as opposed to most AU stores who are a bit generous with measurements in my larger waist).

How's the sizing on these? Bloody jeans are all over the map, I'm ideally a 31", but but comfortably (or uncomfortably) go 30" or 32" depending on brand.

In my size they follow waist measurements pretty accurately. They also have easy local returns if needed.

However, we prefer that all orders are posted or couriered here rather than drop offs as we don't really have a customer facing team here. Can someone comment on whether the jeans/chinos run big or small for their size?
Waist measurement is fairly close to reality, compared to, for example, Target where if I buy pants with my actual waist measurement they fall down.
Hey there, i'd suggest if you're on the border between 2 sizes go for the smaller one as our size, while close to true to size, run a tiny bit bigger.
What's the leg length like - regular?
It seams like most have an 84cm/33in inseam. There is a size guide just above where you select the size on each product page.

Hi Im a size 36-38 chest, so I guess I should buy a small size for a sweater. I was just wondering though, what size are the arm lengths for a sweater. Im skinny but have long arms. Im approximately a 86cm arm length.

I know everyone loves Hallensteins, but I've had recent problems with them.
Have ordered 15+ times over the last two years, but my most recent order from 09 May hasn't arrived yet. No explanation for the delay, and no reply to my 2 emails either :( Got an email today saying only one of my items has shipped. Not sure on the ETA for the other one.

What can sometimes happen, especially when we're busy, is our stock numbers in our Distribution Centre can be a little off - sometimes this may be because we didn't have the right number delivered, the size split wasn't as we thought - but for whatever reason when this happens we need to try and pull the item back from store to fulfill the order.
Sometimes we're unable to find the item in store - and in this case we have to cancel items off the order and the value of these items are refunded back to the card that you made the purchase with. You should receive an email letting you know which items were sent and which weren't.
If all your items are cancelled then the full amount should be refunded to your card and you should receive an email with an explanation - it seems as though this email isn't working.
We're going to have a look into this, but in the interim if you'd like you can fire us an email at [email protected] with your original order number and we can provide a code that will give you the same discount if you want to purchase some different items.

Thanks but it seems like there is another issue now. The jeans have been refunded but the socks I ordered have been sent and I've been charged the price of the socks and the shipping.. I wasn't given the option to cancel the order as a whole. It also seems like you are still trying to process the order for the jeans. Please sort this out for me. I don't want them any more.
Not yet. Ordered on Saturday a pair of Jeans. Then ordered 2 jackets on Sunday evening from the thread on Sunday, and got dispatched on Monday and will be delivered tomorrow. No idea what's going on with the Jeans I ordered. :\

Made my order for Chino, Jeans and shoes.. didn't hear anything and assumed it was shipped. A long time later they inform me the Chinos were unavailable but they shipped everything else (this was the item I was interested in mostly). I wish they gave me the option to cancel the whole order. Jeans a little big and Shoes too small. A bad ozbargain for me this time. Don't feel its right to partially fill an order without getting customers consent to go ahead.
I bought two pairs of Chinos from Hallenstein's in the last sale. Got both for about $40-45 and was very happy with the quality and look considering what I paid for them. Also have fantastic customer service and shipping, love the free chocolates you get.
