$1 more, but no long queue, no 2% CC surcharge, stores everywhere…
        [ :- { )

        • I think it might even be a different card. I remember seeing SD cards for cheap on shoppingsquare and other shops but they weren't "class 6" only "class 2" so you might want to check that before you buy.

PS: MSY sells "class 6" last time I bought from them.

EDIT: I checked out the link and the picture states that it's a class 6 SD card but not in the description so I would still check it before you buy.

    • I think that seeing as though there are more tandy and dse stores than msy people would prefer going to them.

Ahhh, the same as the Tandy deal in December http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/9197.

saw them already on sale today :) .. too bad that my camera won't support SDHC

    • Yes, the title is misleading. I got excited when I saw SD card, but its actually for a SDHC card :( My Palm and my multimedia player only takes SD and not SDHC.

      • Usually a firmware update can fix that.

Are these cards relatively fast? Might stick one in my GPS…

  • I think this a genuine bargain. Yes MSY may have it cheaper but you also have to factor in a credit card surcharge, an inevitable longer queue and a query over stock levels. I think given that DSE/Tandy/DSPH have multiple stores and generally better service, paying the small amount more would still warrant this being a bargain. Positive from me.

Again just make sure your devices are compatible with the card. Happy Bargain hunting :D

  • If the card is what stated in picture, it is very good one. I bought this from tandy and windows 7 allows readyboost on this card !. Very good transfer rate.

Thumps down to MSY if anyone compares - long queue and when we reach counter they give what they have, not what we ask.

  • Great price. I just bought 2 from DSE. Counter guys told me these normally retail for $28.

  • good deal but I would get the reliable Sandisk ultra II 4GB SDHC for around $15-$20. According to Amazon user's review, this A-Data card has some quality control problem.

    • Ultra II is class 4 so not as fast (not that you really need anything faster). I have an 8GB Ultra II which works very well in my 10 MP point-and-shoot.

    • Where could I get this Sandisk ultra II at this price tag? Ultra II is usually considerably more expensive than standard ones.

      • According to staticice.com.au, the lowest price is around $15. I got one for $25 with Nikon D40 DSLR from Hardly Normal last October.

  • Yep, it's class 6. It also claims 22 MB/s read and 10 MB/s write. Though I didn't buy one.

    • yea! Went to the city store and bought two out of impulse :P. Just did a 500mb zone test on the card, 3.69Mb/sec write, 4.5Mb/sec read. Nothing flash but its certainly an upgrade from my older SD card i have in in digital camera which does about 1.5mb/sec write.
