    OEM? Don't you need to sell this with some hardware in that case?

      Most computer shops don't abide by this rule. Big shops do that, but smaller shops generally don't give a stuff and will sell you Windows 7 OEM even if you don't buy any hardware.

    The 2 times, I tried the bargain on 8lien, I had to register before be able to enter the voucher code, which never worked both times, and the postage was about $20. But now, I am receiving unwilling adds on my mailbox.

      Yes, the year long activation applies only after it has been activated, so you can wait 6 months to activate and still get the yearlong coverage.

    A Norton deal that does not pay me to use its product is not a bargain anymore. We have been spoilt by Symantec's cashback and discounts.
