  • 11? what do i do with 11?

    • +11

11 was all we could fit into the bag.

      • Make it an even 12 and its a DEAL to be Ozbargained!!! LOL!
I want to see the bag bursting at the zips! HAHA

        • +19

Put "12" in the order comments and I'll squash another in.

        • Didn't see this comment when I made the order…so can ya squeeze an extra in for me ;;)

        • His already got your money :P

      • A Baker's dozen would make a nice round number.

        • Make it a score, or a gross and we've got a deal

  • +1

Haha wow! You still can't get rid of those voice recorders! I've still got the two I bought last time, and they are great! Great deal for those who want a laptop bag.. free voice recorders!

  • +5

This seems like a cocaine smuggling operation.

    • +10

HAHAHA. Next bargain perhaps. Does that conform with OzB guidelines?

  • Too bad this wasn't around when I ordered those 2 from you guys early this week, I definitely would've picked this up.

    • +18

Drop in - I'll give you 11. Just give me your order number when you arrive.

      • +1

Nah, it's all good. Thanks though, I appreciate it :) I told my boss about the deal to see if he wants to get 11 more. We can give one to each staff member in our department.

Good luck selling those and thanks for the awesome service with my 2 recent orders.

  • you might be able to get rid of them by doing it cheap (like $2) delivered per recorder.

    • +7

Only about 9000 more voice recorders to go. $2 I'll do it as long as you can find someone to ship it! (for less that $2)

  • There's 79 sets left

  • -1

10 would be more sensible. Would probably sell better at Christmas, where people can use them for stocking stuffers.

    • +1

We stuffed as many as we could into the bag. Keep #11 as an mp3 player or USB stick - or fishing FM radio.

  • +2

Good bargain.. but i don't think anyone can take 11 of these except re-seller. Anyone in Melbourne wanna share these voice recorders? I need 10 ppl to share the voice recorders and 1 ppl for the Laptop Bag.

    $4 for the Voice Recorder
    $5 for the Laptop Bag

    • I was going to do the same thing (except $3.50 per voice recorder, and $10.50 for the bag), except I thought it would be too much trouble to get all the 11 to each person. I'm in Brisbane.
Plus, the OP seems like a good dealer, so didn't want to ruin his trade.

    • +3

If you were thinking about reselling. It does not seem very popular on Ebay, only two sold (http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=Ol…) in almost two weeks

If you are after something with a larger than 512MB capacity there is a 4GB one going for $12 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4GB-Digital-Voice-Recorder-Dictap…)

    • I'm in Melbourne and want maybe one or two.

    • I'd like to join! :D
      I want 2 voice recorders.

Watch out could be a con, I still haven't received my 1Gb voice recorder last deal more than a month ago. Said they shipped on 9th May, tracking number provided is invalid.

  • Facebook recommend the purchase (on our shopping cart page) and get a further $3 off- total $46 inc shipping).

I am in for $46 without facebook.

  • After using one of these, I have to say I'm rather interested in this deal.

Would you sell 1GB in large quantities as well?

    • Call me Monday - Sure. 1300 11 99 15 - Dan

  • +1

I beg to differ people are buying the 512MB version on Ebay (and most of the listings are by the rep anyway…)

    http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=olin+voice+…

    • +1

Agreed. Most don't sell at $9. But 11 for $49 with a laptop bag is a good deal. But I think it would be a struggle to make a profit if you bought them just to resell on ebay.

      • They're Auctions - $9 is the START price - they acually sell for heaps more. +Shipping

  • Picked up one of your 1gb ones the other week.
    Cheap deal
    But
Controls are very unituitive and a pain to operate.
Would be better designed eith simple rec / stop / ff/ del functions instead of 5 clicks in various menus to get anywhere.
Reminds me how well designed ple products are compared to the regular products like this,

    • Yes, I have one and it's really hard to learn. But I have it sussed out now. I can even remember it (I think)

Hold PLAY to turn it on. Press Record to start… record to pause… MENU to stop. Hold Play to switch off.

Yep, it's a pain… but the recorder is great, best one I've ever owned (and I have a lot of Sony, Casio, Olympus, etc)

      • Fuzz your eyes - this is a "Sony" manufactured unit. Let me see if I can find the model

  • +2

    Olin Digital Voice Recorder

    $81 + Shipping ..that's 60% off at Shopping Square

One more good reason to stay away from SS.

    http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=83063

    • Before we cleaned Olin out of this stock - we sold the 512MB for $64. That was only a few months ago. Having used this unit - worth every cent of that. For the price they're going for now - you really cant go wrong.

  • dont need that many but actually looking for a voice recorder.. about to purchase the 1GB version how about a 512MB inc :D

  • +1

Got another deal im about to post. Stay tuned…. 5 mins

    • +5

Cant do till tomorrow night - OzB restrictions on posting more than once every 24hrs. Watch this space. Next one should be more appropriate for a wider range of people.

      • +1

hey what happened to that offer you were about to post ?

  • -1

If it was a 15-17 laptop backpack I would have been interested

  • -1

Why not list all 9000 units on ebay with a buy it now price of $10 delivered. Won't that shift them?

So, with that in mind, how much for ALL of them? :)

  • +4

280% off the current price?? Saaa wha? Go back to year 7 maths class..

    • True.. its more like a 65% discount on the regular price of ($139).. so that probably needs to be corrected. It's still a bargain though.

  • +2

Does a 280% discount mean you pay us 180% back? :-)

  • +1

I got it 4 months ago. This model may have a design fault, or my unit is defective - it drains batteries very quickly in off-mode, within days or weeks, consuming between 20mA and 0.5mA. If you have a multimeter, please check off-mode current consumption and post it here. While measuring, wait a few minutes, as it is unstable and tends to change. Normally, a device of this type should consume much less than 0.1mA in off mode and last several months or even years.

    • +1

I have the same problem now that you mention it. I had a feeling the battery was dying a bit quickly but I wasn't sure since I don't have another voice recorder to compare against.

    • sounds like yours is faulty. Only time I ever get unexpected battery drain is when I leave it plugged into USB. Unit consumes power when plugged into USB.

  • If you don't want 11 of these, you can pick up a 1GB version for $10 with free shipping here

I bought one but couldn't get the facebook $3 off unfortunately :(

    • Waiting to see this new offer he mentioned last night before i purchase the $10 one.. had it in cart ready to buy last night.

      • New offer wont be for voice recorders. Not for a month or two.

  • +1

If you need more memory or want to use a TF expansion card, take a look on ebay, you can pick up an $8 voice recorder.

You can also get mp3 players with voice recorder capability for around $6 on ebay too.

Be sure to get the AAA battery ones. The rechargeable don't have a good life span at the lower prices.

These olin ones use AAA batteries (2) too, so no biggie there.

    • Be interested to see the quality of the $6 jobs. The units were selling for $64 before we purchased all their stock. The quality of these units is awesome. Olin lost a lot of money in selling them to us.

  • I am yet to received my order for 2 x 1GB vesion for @$10 placed about 4 weeks ago.

    • Possibly because it got lost in the post.. just call us. We'll sort it out for you.

      • Rep: What about the 1gb model?

  • Rep: What about the 1gb model?

    • Stay tuned. Chances are if you check our site in the next week - you'll see a new deal for the 1GBs - we cant post here though for another 7 days. As a rep we can only post twice(?) from memory per week. Nothing stopping any thrifty ozbers from finding and posting the deal themselves. Like I said, check back on the "specials" in a few days. another handy hint. Doing a search for "Ozb" can find hidden deals which aren't associated with categories.

      JJ

    • Actually - I'll leave it to you guys - would you rather :

      A) Higher price per unit / cheaper total
      B) Higher Total / Cheaper price per unit?

Problem with OVRs is at the price we sell them for - It's difficult to justify postage - more units makes it easier to justify.

      • B - Higher total, less per unit

        • Hmm stay tuned.

  • Hey Rep,

I bought a bunch of these a few months ago when you were selling them.

The voice recording & replay quality is very good.

One thing that drives me insane though is the timeout of 60 seconds if i pause while playing (ie: playing -> pause -> 60 second delay -> turns itself off). Any idea how i stop this?

Also when i copy previously recorded files to the piece, it changes the name of the file to something else (at least when i copy to the voice recorder A/B/C/D directories). That is it does not preserve file names. Any idea what this is about?

    • I think you hit the nail on the head - Copy to the music folder. In terms of timeout - sheesh!! I have no idea. Perhaps someone else could shed some light?

  • Still waiting on mine to be delivered….

    • Call us and we'll figure it out.

      • Just sent you the email mate.
