I got this email today, with subject header "xxxx*, 10% off voucher inside to say thank you"
*xxxx being my eBayusername.
But in the body of the email there is no voucher code or reference to voucher? Just eBay ads for auctions. Anyone else get this and mighty confused?
Yep, I got the same email and was mightly confused as well. Quite a bit of discussion about it at the eBay Round Table (http://forums.ebay.com.au/forum.jspa?forumID=18&anticache=12…), though no official word or admission of error from eBay.
Edit: Just got a email this morning stating that the original email was sent out with an incorrect topic line and that there is no 10% voucher. Nice one eBay!
Same here. Sent them an email about it and they bailed on the offer. Maybe they should read their emails before sending next time!
Got the original email heading about a voucher but nothing to indicate any discount was on offer followed by another email stating no such discount exists and it was a technical glitch. Yeah right, technical glitch.
Got this email from eBay today:
A short while ago, you received an email from eBay which incorrectly contained the following words in the subject line: "10% off voucher inside to say thank you".
The subject line of that email was wrong, and occurred as the result of a technical error. Please note that there is no voucher or discount from eBay.com.au associated with that email or otherwise applicable to you at this time.
eBay sincerely regrets any inconvenience and thanks you for your understanding.
Great, the only time I thought eBay would reward me for years of selling and it turns out to be a dud….pfft!
eBay is still honoring the 10% for people that received the email and brought something already. I think you need to get in touch with the. I glanced over it on their newsfeed.
At least you get emails, I never seem to receive these Paypal bonuses.
